"Tom Williams of Tomgas came recommended to us by Grant at Wainui Joinery, which proved to be a case of one superior tradie recommending another (since Grant had done a great job on our kitchen joinery).
Tom replaced our leaking gas pipe – and while he was at it, strapped the pipes above the ground under our house to stop them corroding due to contact with the soil, thus rectifying the job done by the previous cowboy plumbers, whose job Tom described as the worst we had ever seen. We already knew that, because those idiots also failed to join two water pipes correctly, which leaked water under our house for six months before we discovered it.
When our Bosch gas water heater came to the end of its life sooner than it should have (probably because it had kept breaking down because those same cowboys caused rainwater to drip down into it from a leak in the ceiling due to their poor sealing job), Tom was around the very next day and installed the Rinnai we should have bought in the first place, given it has an eight year warranty and an expected life of 25 years.
I expected to come home and find our wall lining ripped away to expose pipes, only to find Tom had neatly repaired our wall with a new panel, thus rectifying the shoddy job done by another cowboy, this one a so-called carpenter. So, save yourself potential grief and give the professionals a call."
